China has seen around 251 million domestic trips during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday starting from Jan 31, figures from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed. This year's domestic trips declined by 2% year on year, with nearly 289.2 billion yuan generated in domestic tourism revenue.
文化和旅游部发布的数据显示,2022年春节假期7天,全国国内旅游出游2.51亿人次,同比减少2%;实现国内旅游收入2892亿元。
No major accidents occurred in the culture and tourism sector, and the market has remained stable and orderly during the holiday, the ministry said.
全国文化和旅游系统未发生重特大安全事故,假日市场总体安全平稳有序。

Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, has won hearts of millions after the Winter Olympics opened on Friday, becoming a favorite of international athletes, media and members of the public.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson on Sunday declared a state of emergency to deal with a nine-day protest that has disrupted the core of the Canadian capital.
